Intro

There are three types of contracts currently supported on the Verisart platform. This document provides more detail about what they are suitable for and the costs for deployment and minting.

Understanding the table

Drop types

Verisart offers 3 different types of drops through Shopify stores. Currently, only On-demand drops are supported through the admin interface in the Verisart Shopify App. Pre-defined and Reserved drops require support from the Verisart team. Get in touch with us if you’d like to do that style of drop.

Assets and metadata

Once minted, Verisart NFTs metadata is frozen, meaning it cannot be changed. This is important to many buyers, because it ensures that the merchant or creator of the NFT can’t “rug pull” or change the NFT post-purchase and potentially devalue it. Verisart acknowledges that there are different points of view on this topic and we’re happy to discuss different use cases if merchants would like to update metadata post-minting.
